SONGS OF THE GOAT is a company of actors and directors brought together through years of training at the Studio Acting Conservatory (SAC) in Washington, D.C. The company explores contemporary themes of conflict, fate, and human suffering through classical Greek Tragedy. We aim to bring forward compelling stories to new audiences in bold ways that spark critical reflection and discussion.
The world faces an increasing array of global crises that prov themes of fate, displacement, revenge, order, and ethics. Greek Tragedy has provided a platform to explore these issues for nearly 2,500 years and is as relevant today as ever. We seek to craft an unforgettable experience that resonates with new and old Fringe audiences and establishes Greek Tragedy at Fringe as a vehicle for discourse, reflection, civic engagement, and transformation.
